Up early, leaving GypsyII behind, dropping Mr. Kitty off to be boarded, (he let us know when we returned in no uncertain terms that that is never to happen again) and a 3 hour drive to Salt Lake had us boarding a flight to Phoenix.
There were some storms out there so part of the flight was bumpy. I don't like it but I just tighten that seat belt and hang on.
Not long and we touched down in Phoenix in anticipation of the special event to come.
Our oldest granddaughter, Brianna, has found that special someone in Chris and the wedding is on.
She was such a shy little girl and over the years we have watched her grow into a self assured young woman.
I thought that there would be a little stress in preparation for the wedding.
But no. Between our very capable daughter (Mother of the bride, Cynthia), our cool and collected son-in-law (Father of the bride, Scott) and their friends and family everything was under control.
The day was very full with the wedding in the Gilbert, AZ temple in the morning, a mid day luncheon and the beautiful reception at night and it all went very smooth.
No catering here. This splendor was done by Cynthia and Scott and all the helping hands of friends and family.
They had a wonderful photographer and I haven't seen the photos yet and I am sure they will be fantastic. But, I still snapped away for myself.
It was a luxury to be able to wander through before the festivities began and enjoy all the details.
A sneak peek at some of the goodies.
So many pretty touches.
The gorgeous photos added to the decor.
Then the excitement began.
The beautiful bride and the handsome groom have arrived.
After they greeted their guests there was a yummy dinner of street tacos and all the trimmings.
Lots of sweets as well as the Wedding Cake. That wedding cake that was chocolate with peanut butter was SO good.
There were photos with bridesmaids........lifelong friends.
The cake was cut.
The bride and groom led the dancing. Isn't her dress gorgeous?
Dad and daughter had a good time.
The littlest granddaughters had fun.
The evening flew by and the sparklers were lit to send the happy couple off to there Costa Rican honeymoon.
There they go with wishes for their forever love and happiness.
